PRIVACY POLICY

Relive Life is an AI-powered interactive storytelling app. You process real experiences through fiction. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell anything, and the app is designed so you never have to share identifying information.

Privacy by design

Relive Life uses single-letter initials and gender — never real names. This is intentional. The app is built so your stories stay anonymous by structure, not just by policy. We strongly encourage you not to enter real names or identifying details in premises, descriptions, or custom dialogue.

What we collect

• Email address — when you sign in via Google or magic link. Used for authentication only.
• Story session data — premises, choices, story text, character initials and descriptions. Anonymized by design.
• Usage data — turns played, diamonds spent, session length, choice latency. Helps us understand how the app is used.
• Country — derived from your connection by our hosting provider (Vercel/Cloudflare). Two-letter country code only. We do not store your IP address.
• Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe or Dodo Payments depending on your region. We never see or store your card details.

What we don't collect

• Real names (the app doesn't ask for them)
• Precise location, GPS, or IP addresses
• Contacts or phone number

Third-party services

We use the following services to run the app:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI story generation. Your premises and choices are sent to Anthropic's API to generate story content. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.
• Google — OAuth authentication (sign in with Google)
• Stripe — payment processing (most countries)
• Dodo Payments — payment processing (India). Dodo acts as Merchant of Record and is subject to Dodo's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — frontend hosting and anonymous performance analytics (page views, web vitals). No personal data is collected by Vercel Analytics.
• Railway — backend hosting
• Meta (Facebook) — we use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand how visitors interact with the app. The pixel collects page views, an engagement event, and purchase events (amount only, no story content). This data is sent to Meta and is subject to Meta's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Meta tracking via your Facebook Ad Preferences or by using a browser extension that blocks tracking pixels.

None of these services receive more data than necessary to perform their function.

Analytics and tracking

We use two analytics tools:

• Vercel Analytics — anonymous performance metrics (page load times, navigation events). No cookies, no personal identifiers.
• Meta Pixel — tracks page views, an engagement event, and purchase events for advertising measurement. The pixel may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out via your Facebook Ad Preferences or browser privacy settings.

We do not use any other tracking or analytics tools. No data from your stories, choices, or premises is shared with Meta or used for ad targeting.

AI and your stories

Your stories are not used to train AI models. Anthropic's API terms explicitly exclude API inputs from training data. Your premises, choices, and story content are used only to generate your story in real time.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Ever.

Data retention and deletion

Your story sessions and account data are stored as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing g@relive-life.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Age requirement

Relive Life is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and atomic database operations for financial transactions. That said, no system is perfectly secure. Use the app with that understanding.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top. We won't bury changes in legalese — if something important changes, you'll be able to tell.
